I hope this wasn't asked a lot of times before.

Our forum receives more and more spam.

It's a bit funny, because most of the spam is created by newly created user accounts, not within the areas where guets are allowed to post...

Anyway, it would be great to create a rank like "Moderated beginners". This rank is for new user (0..4 posts for example). So all new user account posts will be moderated. If they want to spam the forum it can be deleted without being published in any way.

Sad but true we reach a time where captcha doesn't really work. There are several companies that pay people for publishing such a bulls***.

YAF 1.96 Beta contains SPAM Protection, which autom. rejected or flag messages as moderated, when detected via the API (BlogSpam.net or Akismet). That Could solve your problem, but an option for ranks or roles "flag posts as moderated until reaches x posts" would be a nice Addition.
