As an administrator of my (YAF) forum, I would like to receive an email when a new user registers.

Is that possible?

In the board Settings there is an extra setting where you can enter an email address or multiple. On a new User registration the notification emails go to that address(es).

You can find that setting under Admin -> Settings -> Board Settings -> Send Email Notification On User Register to Emails
