I'm encountering this error:

This is interesting because I have another site where I have another test site where I have the main site and the YAF under that and that all seems to work ok. However, what I am encountering with this issue is that I have the mainsite and under that I have a sub-site and under that I have YAF. So, basically YAF (the forum) is 3 levels down. Rather than 2 which I have on my test site.

I have the DLL's in the BIN folder of the main site. There is/was nothing in the YAF APP_CODE folder to put in the main APP_CODE. The app.config, db.config, mail.config, and URLrewriter.config are in the main site directory. I have put in an into the app.config folder.

Any ideas on what might be causing this issue on the site where it is 3 levels down instead of the 2? NOTING: I have changed the

Also, this is YAF 1.9.5.

Any info or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

Does anybody have any thoughts or guidance on that aspect? It's bugging me a little that I can't get that working. :?

Or actually, the one that I have where the forums are 2 levels down actually doesn't compile in Visual Studio. I am able to get it to open the forums page though through a URL.

The errors I get on the compile are like:

Could not load type 'yaf.controls.DisplayPost'.

Could not load type 'yaf.controls.EditUsersSignature'.

Could not load type 'yaf.controls.ForumList'.

Could not load type 'yaf.controls.EditUsersSuspend'.

.

Any info on how to integrate would be greatly appreciated as I thought I was following the integration steps but I'm obviously missing something or doing something wrong.

Does anybody have any information on the integration and use of the YAF that is identified in the error?

I like YAF and what I have seen thus far and I want to pursue it's use.

Yet another update!

There were a couple of things...I was using the DEFAULT.aspx from a version of YAF from 1.9.1. I put in the newer version and it worked!!

However, I did find one thing and just for future reference it may behoove one to take notice. Take the the information (files) from the SRC zip of YAF 1.9.5 (YAF-v1.9.5-RC1-SRC.zip). The reason: for whatever reason the BIN.zip download when I extracted did not have all the same files. Maybe I was too quick in what I was doing and missed something...I'm not sure. But when I compared the there were some files in the SRC that I didn't have.

But the good news is that I got it going a litle more now. 🙂
