Upgraded from 1.9.1 to 1.9.3 earlier today. I was expecting to be able to allow users to upload their own avatars, but the Modify Avatar page looks exactly like it did in 1.9.1.

I am also missing graphics for New Topic, Reply, and pretty much everything else that is a link to an action.

Anyone have any thoughts? Is there some setting somewhere in this format, like others, that lets you choose between text or graphic links?

The first image below shows the text links...no graphics.

The second image is the Modify Avatar page...and no option for uploading an avatar. The third is just the page that follows clicking the link to select the avatar, still no upload.

And here's a link to the forum if needed.

You have to enable the upload avatar feature in Admin -> Host Settings -> Avatars (tab)

As far as the buttons not working -- not entirely sure. Verify the whole theme was uploaded and Ctrl+F5 to refresh.

I feel like I'm in the grocery store looking for something...because I can't find anything there either. I don't see Admin>Host Settings anywhere. 😞

The account you're logged in under is not the Host Admin -- I'm not sure who setup your forum, but user setup during initial installation is the host admin and has access to Host Settings.

Wow...thank you. After creating the board, I created my own account and applied the admin mask...didn't realize that it wasn't full admin. I'll be logging in as admin from here on out and hopefully won't have any more stupid questions.

Maybe.

No biggie. As long as you worked it out. 😉
