I like the new attachment functionality, drag and drop to add the file. I did also like the other functionality where I can choose from the file explorer .... did this functionality disappear or is it still available?

The old file attachment method has been removed.

You can view all your attachments and delete them one by one by navigating to your profile > attachments.

How do we lobby to get that functionality back? ;)

Was there specific reasons it was removed? I feel you really should have the option for both, just for usability consistency.

Personally I hated it because so many users complained about how poorly implemented it was. I hope never to see it again, but also hope the new method is improved. No need to step backward lol

My opinion only of course.

Understood,

However, even with the new method, I have to open an explorer window, find the folder then find the file to drag, then drag it (I'm lukcy enough to have more than one screen, otherwise it's a pain)... what I'm saying is, have the old way of 'finding' files and make it do the same work as dropping the file... it's not asking for the old back, just enhance the new with a portion of the old 🙂

You can add files by finding them and adding them without having to drag drop them. There's an add files button. Is that what you mean?

That is what I mean.... I can't find that button... any change you could screenshot to help me out?

Thanks

sorry to bother you, found it after poking around some more, wasn't that intuitive though I didn't feel.

Nice pics!!

I know why I didn't get it at first... I'm using Chrome and the '+ Add Files' button doesn't show as a button, just as text, the other button shows as a button however.

Thanks for your help

I tried the new upload functionality but unlike here in the forum the upload page gets reset. I posted a video to show:

The error message in the console is pretty clear

http://www.visualcron.com/YafUploader.ashx 404 (Not Found)

The YafUploader.ashx file is missing

You are right, thanks! The problem is that it looking for this file in the root folder install of install folder - that is why it did not work.

By the way, I found one nagging thing and that is that I upload files with version name like: VisualCron7.6.4.exe

Now, when uploaded it renames the download to VisualCron7_6_4.exe - is that really neccessary? (the correct name was used in previous versions)
