I just installed YAF on DNN 5 and so far I'm thoroughly impressed. Everything is working flawlessly with the exception of email notifications of new posts. They simply aren't happening (or more precisely I'm not receiving any in my inbox). Relevant info:

1.) YAF Version: 1.9.5.5 (Date: 3/3/2011)

2.) When I test the SMTP through the install process, there are no problems, the email is received fine.

3.) There aren't any error messages in either the DNN log or the YAF log.

4.) My account that I'm using for testing has it's email notification preferences set to Notification for topics you've posted to, watched or marked as favorite and the topic I'm testing with is on the watch list.

5.) The MailSendTask under YAF>Maintenenace>Task Manager is running.

6.) SMTP is working fine on my site as I have numerous email jobs that occur daily without problems.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. It's the last install/setup issue that I need to resolve before I can go live with the new forum.

P.S.On a related note, just an FYI, when I registered for the YAF support forum, it sent me 6 identical emails about registration verification.

Its a Bug, i posted an updated dll here:

I received the notification that you had responded to my posts so it's a good sign that notification is working in general. Any ideas on what I should be looking at on my site that would keep notifications from working?

But this site uses the latest beta Yaf 1.9.5.6, also on my tests i used the version compiled from the repository.

On the Email Notifications Preferences Page under Watched Forums and Watched Topics did you actually have any topics listed there?

Yes I double checked on the Email Notifications Page that there were watched forums and topics. I also setup one test account to use the "notifications of topics you posted too..." method and another to use the selectively watched method just to see if it made a difference but it didn't.

System.ArgumentException: The email address ("Board Name" ) is not in a valid format.
