did a complete reinstall from scratch, got it configured and the board came up. :cheesy:

but every link was prefixed /forum/forum 😶

no matter what i set the config variables to it would never change

so now we are back with this old chestnut....

Server Error in '/forum' Application.
The file '/forum/forum/pages/forum.ascx' does not exist.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: The file '/forum/forum/pages/forum.ascx' does not exist.

I have app.config set like this....

all dlls and app_code folder are copied into the root app

so why does it insist on doubling up the forum folder???????????????????????

Since yaf is a sub-app, it's its own app root, so YAF.Root should be ~/

YAF.BaseUrl should probably be something like "http://whatever/forum/" because you want the links to be right. And probably need to set YAF.BaseUrlOverrideDomain to true?
