Hello fellow YAFfers,

I am still learning the ins and outs of YAF but I have a question for you all. When I view my forum as Guest, you see in the upper left a message that says "Welcome Guest". How can I modify the word Guest in my message? For example, if I wanted it to say "Welcome Human".

Please let me know.

Thank you,
Todd

C:\Projects\Yafdotnet\trunk\yafsrc\YetAnotherForum.NET\languages\english.xml(257): Welcome Guest

Line 257 of the english.xml file you'll find the line above. Edit the text between the two tags.

When I post fp:mddubs in a topic, I'm leaving my footprint there so I can track it once I get into coding/supporting. (Yes I stole this off Mek 🙂, who stole this off Ederon 🙂 )

I had found that and I changed it but it did not seem to make a difference. I retried it after reading the previous post. It seems as though it is restricted to 13-14 characters. Is there any way to increase this? I would like to say something like "Welcome Guest Please Register".

Please advise.

Thank you,
Todd

I'm using 1.9.3RC2 and I just changed mine to "Welcome Human Please Register" and it works fine. Maybe refresh your browser or restart IIS if you aren't seeing a change.

Edit the text between the two tags, not the text in quotes.
