When I click the "More Smilies..." link it opens a window that just doesn't get formatted correctly. Was wondering if anyone has run into this before?

I'd like to at least fix the markup so the page renders correctly ... but an even better solution would be to not show the "More Smilies" link at all, just display them all on the post page. Is this done through a config key hopefully?

When I post fp:mddubs in a topic, I'm leaving my footprint there so I can track it once I get into coding/supporting. (Yes I stole this off Mek 🙂, who stole this off Ederon 🙂 )

DEVELOPER HELP!

I edited _pagesize = 18 (changed to 34) in YAF.Controls.smileys. I rebuilt the entire solution and deployed all the dlls in the bin. Still, only 18 smilies show up in a new post. What's going on?

Now that I have all my smilies showing, I'm really irritated that the 'thumbs' smilies mess up the alignment because they are wider than the others, see attached.

Obsessive compulsive? I think I have a problem... I'm contemplating doing something about this.

Your going to run into a lot of things that are still not formatted correctly, hopefully they will be fixed when it comes out of beta. But this version is still under development. There are WWWWAAAAYYYYY to many SQL and post back calls in this Forum from what i have noticed, hopefully we can get the developers and designers to redesign it so its XHTML complaint and valid. Most of the things this forum should do is simple JavaScript, CSS, or AJAX calls. The forum only would be tremendously faster. If i wasn't so busy at work doing CAD/CAM all day long i would dive into it and start coding away and make this forum a Web 2.0 app, but i just don't have enough time im sure just like all the other developers with their day jobs.

modify /pages/showsmileys.ascx if you want the layout to be different.

I'm sure you could make YAF an amazing "Web 2.0 app" -- but you're too busy, I understand.

As for the XHTML compliance -- maybe you should start with your own web site?

tushay jaben tushay. I negelcted my own site, i should be ashamed.....fixed now though.

I wasnt trying to be mean man, i love this forum otherwise i wouldnt use it on my own sie. I would just love to see this forum transition over to DIV enviroment instead of a tabular layout. Then coding would be a much simplier task for end users, as well as the backend would not have to work near as hard as it does. But i see that this is a plan todo in the roadmap that is listed in the WIKI.

Keep up the good work jaben
