I get the following error  -

well, I would tell you if I could but I cant as copy and paste are not working in this forum and I also cant upload any photos.

I see drag and drop works however -

\Mac\Home\Desktop\YAFNET-3.1.0\YAFNET-3.1.0\yafsrc\YetAnotherForum.NET\Bin\net48\YAF.Data.SqlServer.dll' could not be found

YAF.SampleWebApplication

\\Mac\Home\Desktop\YAFNET-3.1.0\YAF.SampleWebApplication-3.1.0\YAF.SampleWebApplication\CSC

I downloaded both the source code and the sample web page directly from the github repository.

Thanks

Atleast for me copy and paste works. But it depends if the content you want to paste, contains any formatting. Uploads work again.

I updated the SampleApplication repo it now includes the libaries.

I got it to publish locally but when i push it to the web i get this error -

Screen Shot 2022-03-03 at 11.46.10 AM.png You have insufficient rights to see the content.

I tried replacing the existing file 3.0.2 file with the 3.1 version but then it asks me for the 3.0.2 version again.

Thanks

It looks again that the files are not updated on the server! Maybe you should try to update the files manually (for example via ftp). I don't know why this publish doesn't work.

I try to disable that publishing option for the next release.

I was able to push the right YAF.type.dll file via ftp.  also the Yaf.Data.SqlServer.dll file is not making it up to the server during publish.  it must be added manually via ftp.  (It exists in the .bin folder, just doesn't go anywhere).

However, I am still getting this error when a new member tries to log-in -

I am using the sample webpage from the downloads page on this site, not github.

Thanks

Odd it was working when i tested. but the problem is that the default roles have different names. Issue is already fixed in YAF 3.1.1.

The links on the wepage are the github links. all downloads are hosted on github!

Unfortunately all it says is  No Entries found.  How do I turn on logging?

I have created a new, empty App Service (confirmed by ftp) and reloaded the Sample Web Application 3.1.1 to this new instance.  This was not an upgrade, everything that was put on that site was in the package I downloaded fom your download page.  The database however is still the same one I have been using for the last few attempted deployments.

Also, when i check the upgrade status i see this -

Screen Shot 2022-03-04 at 9.09.47 AM.png You have insufficient rights to see the content.

It seems my version is a day behind?

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks

If you still using the same db, then its an upgrade! at the moment it works only on a new db installation. it seems that the upgrade is broken. I'm working on a fix for the upgrade process.

Can you download the latest commit and check if the upgrade works with that version?

Unfortunately, I had gone ahead and reinitialized my online database and reinstalled the web app as a a totally new installation. That worked and the forum is now up and operational.

However, I still have the old version of the database (v3.1.0) on my local machine so I tried the new package with that and got the same error.  I never got an option to upgrade the database on first launch.

There is no option. The db gets upgraded automatically. And logged in the event log ( if not disabled in the host settings).  Would it be possible if you can uploaded the db? So I can reproduce the issue?

I was able to reproduce it. In the sample application the Database upgrader was never executed.

Beta updated. Now updating works and resolves the login problem
