Have just upgraded to YAF 2.31.8. All is ok except one old problem of YAF 2.3.*
If I write a post with code blocks like this
, when I post this, I see no empty lines between Paragraph 1 and the code block but about 2 empty lines between the end of the code block and Paragraph 2.
Is it by design? I would prefer to have no empty space after code blocks because it is a waste of useful space and it is hard to format our posts because of this.

The Problem is the new line after the end of the code tag. If you remove it (like i did in your edited post) there is no extra line break. Issue should be fixed with the next update
