Hi,
I tried the Beta version. It seems that the avatar issue is fixed. But the issues with attachment feature continue for me. I also tried with a fresh install of DNN 7.4 and this beta version of YAF, nothing else installed.
1) It uploads if I browse and choose the file. But there is no uploading bar or something like that. You have no idea if it is being uploaded or something went wrong. Also window doesn’t close itself after successful upload. Just sits on the screen. You have to close that window and refresh that page to see it is uploaded successfully.
2) If you drag and drop a file to the box on the modal window, it opens the image itself on the browser instead of uploading. So you lose the page.
3) I use CKEditor which is also provided by you as a DNN module. (Thanks for another good work.) So in Yaf I choose “DNN default editor”, which gives more features than the one that comes with YAF. But when using it, if you click one of the attachments, that are uploaded already, nothing happens. But if you choose the one that comes with YAF, it adds [attach] code to the editor. But it doesn’t work with the CKEditor module in DNN.
4) If filename has no space in it, which is likely to happen, it is not broken in part by default and deforms the design of the page. For example, a file with the name “bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla.jpg” instead of being wrapped or hiding with “…” goes all the way down and deforms the design. It may be hided with “…” like “bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-b….jpg”, which will also show extension, and show the full name when you hover the link.
5) In the attachment page in my profile, there is no confirmation alert when you want to delete an attachment. It would be better I think.
6) REQUEST : It would be very good if we could add images directly inside of the message when we choose from attachment list instead of the BBcode.
7) REQUEST : Also, is listing the attachments under post option removed? I would like to have that too…
8) REQUEST : Clicking pictures in the message opens them in the browser. It would be very good if they show up in a modal window, like old attachments were working.
Thanks…
