I am finally ready to migrate from our old forum (vBulletin) to YAF, and are preparing to import the users. When importing users into YAF the system automatically sends out an e-mail confirmation to the user with a temporary password. Because these are users that are already registered with the old forum they will not be expecting the e-mail, so I would like to add a very brief note in the e-mail explaining why they are receiving the e-mail and why their e-mail has been reset. I have searched the back end, the db tables and YAF folders / files to find e-mail templates, but cannot find where the template is held so that we can alter the text. Can anyone point me to the correct location so that I can make the changes and proceed?

I think you'll want to look at the language XML file that you're using for your site.

Try Settings > Languages > Select a Page (Recover_Password) and click Load Page Localization.

Hopefully that's what you're seeking. Also, after making a change to the language file, do a application restart from the Maintenance menu. This will ensure the language file changes are used.

You loaded the translation for the pages itself, if you want to edit the email templates load the page "Templates" this contains all email templates.
