Ever since I have installed and used YAF (2 years now) the shoutbox has never worked. You can see the messages until the refresh kicks in then I see the following error:

Error refreshing chat: [object Object]

Also I paid money for a certain code to remove something which doesn't get removed. I still see Powered by Yaf etc & Yukon Icon links

When I click the THANK button I get a Javascript dialog saying Error Ocurred

Ok this means that the YafAjax.asmx file is missing in the forum application folder

The file you mentioned is in the root directory of the forum (same directory as app.config). I have just overwritten it with the one in the 2.1.1 upgrade package

Overwritten that file, restarted the forum and the exact same error ocurred so it isn't that, that's causing the error
