My forum setup is coming along nicely http://fruitsteading.com/Forum.aspx  and I'm very happy about the speed and all the features the only major issue I have before I go live is user registration/import.

When I register a new account I get the following Failure error message:

UserPostedImage

The account gets registered in DNN, but when I try to log in I get the same error, until I do a manual user import, which says:

'0 User(s) Imported, but all Roles are syncronized!'

Although it says 0 imported, I can log in with the new user after the manual import is done.
I clicked 'install yaf schedule' then 'update yaf schedule' but then I get a blank button and if I click on it I think it removes the schedule because the 'install' button comes back.
'Require Email Verification' is unchecked under host settings and the Spam settings are disabled.

My questions:
1. How often the scheduler imports new users and is there a way to change this to do an import let's say every 2 minutes?

2. Is there a way to change the Failure error message they get at the time of registration/login? To something like: 'Thank you for registering, it can take up to 24 hours to approve your account'.
I'm afraid the error message is going to turn off users and they might just abandon the forum.

I'm on dnn 7.0.4, Windows 2008 VPS, SQL 2008 Express, iis 7, .net v4.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Rob

Once a day. Yes you can change it on the Schedule Page under Host (DNN) -> Schedule, there you can change the YAF DotNetNuke User Importer. There you can change it to whatever you want. But i think every 2 minutes is a bit too much. maybe every 2 or 6 hours is enough.

Sure you can change the text in the language file (english.xml)

<Resource tag="FAILURE">There has been a system error processing your request. Please contact the forum admin explaining what you were doing when it happened.</Resource>

I see if i can fix the registration issue.

I just installed it but I'm still getting the same errors.. no change at all.. 😞
What could be wrong?
Should I upgrade my DNN? I'm on 7.0.4, but planning to upgrade to 7.1.2, it's due for release on Wednesday.

Looks like something was wrong, i tried it with my old dnn6 installation and get the same message. Downloads are again updated, hopefully it works this time.
