I have felt over a passage of time , that generally posts are "Liked" when something good is shared .. not every good post by someone is suppose to be "Thanked" ..
so can there be a selection for showing Thanks or Like Button on the post
or if not that then simply which template or page to change that ?

(i am not talking about facebook like)

you need to modify the language files "..\languages\english.xml" and replace all words.

tha_watcha's suggestion is easy. I've changed mine from Thanks to Applause.

You can change that too in the same file.

'Kudos' sounds better than 'like' or 'thank' me thinks.

It would be great to be able to associate the medals with the number of times "thanked, liked, applausees" or what ever. As far as I tell the medals are associated with groups. which is an administrative task. I would like to have users get medals based on the number of thanks in the same way the ranking ladder works. So for example:
1- 20 Thanks (Bronze Star)
21 - 40 Thanks (Silver Star)
etc..... As many medals as one sees fit. Only one (highest achived) medal would show in the User box.
