I'm new to YAF and this is my first post (go easy on me), I've tried searching but didnt find any similar topic.

The issue is unable to save the setting for "Show Crawlers In Active Lists:" in the Display Settings section within Host Settings.

I check the box, press the Save Settings button but when I return and view Display Settings section it remains un-checked.

I'm using a clean fresh install. Is this a bug or do I need to enable some other settings somewhere?

Well the checkbox is working in 1.9.5.5, but...

What I expected to see was eg Google instead of Guest in the admin Active Users display..
And eg Google(8) in the common statistics at the bottom of the normal forum start page...

Is there somewhere you can define crawlers?

Like,
207.36.204.* = Google,
66.249.66.* = Google
66.249.64.0 - 66.249.95.255 = Google

or such so you can easily see which crawler is digging in your site?

In admin ActiveUsers crawlers are not displayed. Crawler has only one instance. But you can see them in common ActiveUsers list. You server almost surely has some statistics too.
You can implement them as you like  The primary goal was not to overload db server by almost useless for a common user things.

Well, I have only one displayed as "Mozilla 0.0" in both Admin and the normal Active users...

And it's a Googlebot...

Think I will uncheck that "Show Crawlers", only confuses other members... 😁

Yes, I know. But, you have App_Browsers folder to put there custom detection code.

Update: I'll look into it, but the problem requires some investigation.

I've seen in other forums how it can look...

BTW, the link "The moderating team" in the pic shows about the same as you are trying to do with the "Team" link...
