I can no longer post new topics into any forum. The editor appears (default editor) and text can be entered. The topic can be viewed in preview however when it is posted, nothing. I have been using a forum called 'Tips and Tricks' here http://www.3guysonsharepoint.com . The postback happens but the redirect doesn't take place. The forum remains empty. I have tried deleting and recreating the forum but to no avail.
Prior to the forum deletion I did have one successful post. I used the new topic button after saving that post to start a new one. It is from this point that no new topics could be posted. Since deletion of that instance of the forum I can't post topics to any forum.
If this is a known bug have you a work around. I would hate to have to trash the work I have done.

Found the problem. If you reuse the title of a previously deleted topic the save fails and no message is provided to tell the user why the topic did not save.

Workaround. Go into maintenance and prune deleted topics.
