Please can anyone tell me where to edit code so that on the search page the button says "Search" instead of "Search YAF".

It's hardcoded, because YAF has an external seach option too.
If enabled it will be a bit confusing.
In the case you see buttons like Search YAF, Search Google, Search Yandex. The last 2 options can be changed to other search engines.
