ASP.Net 3.5
IIS 6 (Server 2003 R2)
DotNetNuke 5.4.2
YAF 1.94.3

When clicking "My Profile >> Edit Profile" or SomeUserName >> "Edit User (admin)", I get the following error. I'm not qualified enough with ASP.Net apps integrating jQuery yet to troubleshoot this and could really use a hand.

http://AllDroid.org/Forums.aspx , then click "My Profile" at top-right, then "Edit Profile" at the left. I can typically be found on gtalk or gmail if you want real-time/near-real-time cooperation on troubleshooting (see my registered email addy).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you for the quick reply. I've used your updates before without any problems so I'm confident that I know how, but this update resulted in the following and I'm about to revert to a backup for now. Did you believe I did something wrong based on this?

Where/How do I track your module releases? I've tried searching on watchesnet.de, but can rarely find your latest release if anything.

I think i found the problem. I guess you used the Repair option when installing the Module, because the version number is still the same?

I discovered that dnn doesnt update the dlls when "repairing" the installation.

Please download the Install Package again, the version number is increased to avoid such problems. Or you can extract the *.dll files from the zip and copy them manually to your DotNetNuke bin folder.

I will make a solution for that in the future.

I never saw a repair option. The module version once installed was 1.94.4 where pre-update it's 1.94.3. Is that the version you are referring to? What .DLL do you think isn't getting updated? I could confirm by running the install again then updating that .DLL manually. I'm on a dedicated server so I can access /bin and GAC as I see fit.

Yes that should be ok. But i update the files almost every 1 or 2 days

YAF.DotNetNuke.Module.dll

After trying the upgrade again, I saw the exact same errors so I extracted all the YAF*.dll from your latest archive and placed them in /bin. This resulted in the error below.

The module version shows as 1.94.5.

Ok it seems dnn checks for the version number that was in the manifest file.

For my new update all dlls are installed.

Module Updated to SVB 3397

my-dnn.de/t6BXk

Did you delete the Yaf Folder from the App_Code folder?
Did you run the Upgrade Installer (http://localhost/DesktopModules/YetAnotherForumDotNet/install/Default.aspx) after installing?

I didn't delete the Yaf folder. Should I have?
I did run the Upgrade installer.

My last attempt with this update resulted in an entirely new problem that I suspect is my own issue so I'm trying again from a fresh copy of my existing site but due to my question above, I wanted to post now instead of waiting for more results.

I just duplicated my entire DNN install successfully so I could test updates freely and so I tried to update to the latest module of yours I could find:

YAF-DNN5-Module 1.9.4.0 SVN 3433
my-dnn.de/t6BXk

Once the Upgrade was complete (/DesktopModules/YetAnotherForumDotNet/install/Default.aspx), I tried to access my forum page (that is, a page with the module added) and received a generic error so I went to my DNN Event Viewer and found 4 exceptions. If you can shed any light on my troubles, I've be greatful. I can't seem to get anything beyond my current install working.

The exceptions are listed in the order they occurred (soonest at the top).

Yes you need to delete the YAF Folder from the App_Code Folder, and the Yaf node from the codeSubDirectories in your web.config.

The error messages will be gone
