We are very happy to see YAF and I will be customizing the YAF to certain extend, I wanted to know till what extend I have the freedom to change it? I am looking towards customizing about 40% inclucing images and the style sheets, so as to match up with our application.

Is there any part on YAF that I need to retain?

We plan to put YAF in the credits section of our application, anything else is needed? Do let us know if we are violating any copyrights (by mistake).

You can modify it according to GPL v.2 terms. But YAF is constantly under development and it's unwise to modify it too deep - you'll have multiple update problems. YAF has thousands of installations around the world and
this helps to fix problems. Your site will have 1 installation 🙂

Keeping credentials is very important for the project as helps spread a word about YAF and allows developers to make it better and better.
