Are your .config files located in the /forum/ directory?

I have a /forum/ directory that contains all of the YAF files and directories.

I also have the YAF application on the server pointing to that same /forum/ directory.

I read somewhere about pulling those files out and placing them in the root directory of the site.

Thanks again!!

Thank you for all of your help. I have been working on this on and off all day and can't seem to crack the code.

I'm basically back to where I started after trying many variations.

Do you have any idea what code in the URLRewrite.config would cause this to be returned when I click on the Login with Facebook page??

http://www.signaldaddy.com/forum/www.signaldaddy.com/forum/auth.aspx?auth=facebook

Thanks!

Did you post your app.config? If you haven't, can you?

*** REMOVE sensitive data such as passwords and twitter facebook secret keys ***

Also, in your Host Settings, do you have the base url mask set to anything?

Everything is working except the Facebook and Google Login function

Base URL in Host settings: www.signaldaddy.com

Here is my current server config:
site root
- forum (IIS Application running ASP.net 4.0)
- All YAF files here (including .config)

This is my app.config (IDs and secrets changed)

URLRewrite.config

use the IMG UserPostedImage bbcode tags.

The app.config I posted, replace my values with yours and add back in the config password and see if that works. Your config has things commented out, sometimes in and very hard to follow with those comments. At least to me it's hard lol

So try my config but use your website, your facebook, your twitter, your google, your config password, restart your application and see if you're getting the same thing.

I replaced my app.config with yours and then I got that "Serious Error" page from YAF when I clicked on /forum link from my home page .

Then I changed the AppRoot and FileRoot Keys from "~/forum" to "~/" and I was able to get into the forum but still the same error on the Facebook Login.

Now I'm thinking that I have this set up wrong on my server.

Earlier you mentioned that your config files were in your Site root. Do you mean like: /app.config, /db.config, etc...?
And then, do you have a directory called /forum?
Is YAF running as an Application on IIS?
If so, is your /foum directory set up as the Application and are all YAF files in that /forum directory?

If I put the web.config that came with YAF at my site root, then I can't access any pages except my default.aspx at the site root.

Thanks again!!

I have a directory /forum which is not an application, it is a directory.
I have my .config files in the root of my website (one level up from /forum)

The issue certainly related to URL's because I believe you said others are able to register via forum, but not the single sign on, correct?

What happens when you replace the baseurlmask setting with

<add key="YAF.BaseUrlMask" value="" />

Restart the app after that

Hi tha_Watcha,

I have the same results when changing the BaseURLMask setting and restarting the app.

When I add the web.config files to my site root all of my other hyperlinks no longer work. For example, when I click 'MUSIC', I just stay on the Home page.

Thanks,
Dave
