http://dnndev/ is my Forum Base URL Mask: but when I click any of the buttons it goes off to the real website which is the production website. Is there another stting some where I need to verify? In the Web.Config file it is set as dnndev as well.

Check the portal alias for that portal is it set to http://dnndev/ or to your real website url?
