I have installed YAF but it will not send out the registration emails. I have setup the mail.config file with the smtp server, port number, and credentials required. When I run wireshark, there is no smtp traffic being sent out. I have confirmed the send mail task is running and see that the message was generated by querying the db.

Could my firewall be preventing the traffic from being sent or am I just missing something?

I would appreciate any help I could get on the topic.

When you open the Install/Upgrade Wizzard there is a function to test the Mail Function, it should also show an error Message when there is something wrong.
