We separate our users into groups. Is it possible with yetanotherforum.net permissions to keep the forums separated by group and only members of that group have access to their forum and no the others, plus each group have their own moderator?

Is MSSQL 2008 supported?

Moderators are forum based. It's not a problem to get a similar result with existing possibilities.
