I want to use gmail as my smtp host.... with a valid username and password...

I changed the mail.config but it doesnt work. Can anyone help..?
Portno. is 25 Do i need to change it. ?

gmail's smtp ports are 465 or 587.

have tried both......port no. but still it isnt sending..... :(

Moreover.....user can directly access the forum without even clicking on activation mail

Plz help
