Hi, My problem is this, I need users to be moderator approved when they register , as well as having email addresses approved. At present, when the "Require Email Verification:" box is checked it will put them on the approval pending list, but as soon as they click through on the email they are approved. If the box is unchecked then they are automatically approved. What I really need is complete control over who is registering. Many Thanks all! RB

Moved as this is a feature request.

I'll add this to my todo list, unless anyone wants to pick it up first. Just don't expect a time frame ;-) FP:Mek

Incidentally work around. Create a group Called Approved Users or something. Only allowed Standard sign up users to post to one forum to introduce themselves. Move "Approved" users to the "Approved Users" group which has permissions to see and post to the rest of the forum. Admittedly not the same thing, but the effect is the same. Users who have signed up but not introduced themselves can discarded.

Sounds sensible, I am looking at creating an "unauthorised users" group for them to drop into and await someone to put them into a more appropriate group. Means a more proactive approach is needed to monitor who is in that group, but fits a bit better into my needs. On another note, it would be nice long term to have an option for moderators to be able to authorise accounts rather than only admins (unless that is possible and i missed something! ) Cheers
