I enter the forum and go to My Topics -> Unread....and I get a list of those topics. I leave the site and come back into the site and get nothing under UnRead. It is almost like it is marking topics as read just by listing them. Maybe this is a setting I have missed but it doesn't seem to work correctly. The queries (Topics you've posted in - last 8 hours) SOMETIMES returns a list and sometimes returns nothing...when it should return things I have posted in the last 8 hours. There are a large number of issues here and it all seems to be SQL related.... This is a SMALL forum right now but it will be growing rapidly over the next year....If I am having these kinds of flaky issues now, it is only going to get worse as the forum grows... Serious help needed!!!!!!!!!!! Roy

What you need to do is go in to the Host Settings > Features and enable [b]Use User Read Tracking via Database[/b].

What you need to do is go in to the Host Settings > Features and enable [b]Use User Read Tracking via Database[/b].

[/quote] I have that enabled already (without that enabled the Unread tab doesn't show at all in My Topics). But if I leave the site (logout, close my browser, etc) and come back 2 hours laters, the SAME topics should still be UNREAD....because I didn't read them yet. If I don't read them today, when I visit the site tomorrow, I should see a list with everything that I have not read. What I am saying is this does not work on my site. I am also having LOTS of issues with the system not pulling up Active Topics in the last X time frame. I check it one time and it shows 5 topics and I come back 1 minute later and it shows NO topics. I refresh the browser and SOMETIMES the 5 topics come back but most of the time it does not. I am not sure if this is related to my continuing Guest User not found errors that the forum randomly is throwing or not....but it seems REALLY inconsistent in pulling results. There are times I open the forum page (infrequent) and there are NO FORUMS displayed until I refresh the browser session. I have moved the site to a dedicated server for testing (this is the only site on the whole server) and continue to have the same issues....so it is not the underlying hardware/software. Thanks Roy
