YAFLogo

Hi, I updated forum to 2.2.0 on a DNN 7.4 platform, framework 4.5x intagrated mode. But I faced some problems. 1) I don't see avatars at all. They are shown correctly in DNN but they are not showing in YAF. I only see the missing image icon where the avatar should be. You can check here. [img]http://noble-army.net/capture5.png[/img] I was also using a different reputation image and it disappeared too. How can I change that reputation image? The thing with the avatar is whatever I upload it from YAF or DNN it doesn't show up in YAF userbox and also in topic list. When I upload using YAF, image is shown correctly until the user logged in. Then showing the error image agan. The thing I realized that when I wanted to change the avatar of an user I see a link like this. http://domain.com/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=YEMXIrgpEdtfV58IIbLyGSuv63DWCIsDtBN0toRcYnXsajChnNdnjO_8UyMWpIyN. When I open this link directly in the webpage I got this error. [code][FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.] System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) +11013491 System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) +145 System.Convert.ToInt32(String value) +43 DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileLinkClickController.GetFileIdFromLinkClick(NameValueCollection queryParams) +64 DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileServerHandler.ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) +685 System.Web.CallHandlerExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() +341 System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) +69[/code] I first thought this happens because of DNN but I began to get this error after YAF update. I saw this old thread with same issue. Though it is tagged as fixed, that solutions there didn't work for me. I also used user importer already. https://github.com/YAFNET/YAFNET-DNN/issues/7 2) Attachment option is not working. I think it is solved here. https://github.com/YAFNET/YAFNET/commit/b181c6759e765a1306ceafadcb193c21be82fa16 Though I made the changes in PostAttachments.ascx, I couldn't do the ones in PostAttachments.ascx.designer.cs so it still is not working. To make it work, shall I download the latest source code and compile it again? Is there a easier way to do it? 3) Active users list doesn't show any user. In the main forum page I see there are active users and guests in the forum but when I click active users link I don't see any user there, just empty. 4) I see this forum uses 2.2.1 BETA 20150211 already but I didn't see the place to download it. When it will be released? Thanks...

[quote=tha_watcha;65424]I depens on which files you had changed?! I guess you modified the forum.css?[/quote] I didn't edit forum.css. I just replaced images under /DesktopModules/YetAnotherForumDotNet/images/reputation/ folder. reputation_bg.png and reputation_dot.png images. I checked and my images are still there but they are not showing after update. [quote=tha_watcha;65424]Could be temporary caching issue, is this still an issue? I can see on your forum that the active users list on the Active Users page shows the user's correctly now.[/quote] I checked it again and the list is still empty for me. But I also checked it in Firefox now and I can see the list there. With which browser did you check with? I can see the list Firefox but can't see in IE. BTW while writing, this message box Ioses focus and page moves to top. And I have to scroll down and click again to be able to continue writing. It is like scroll to top icon, on right bottom, is clicked automatically... Thanks...

Hi, I tried the Beta version. It seems that the avatar issue is fixed. But the issues with attachment feature continue for me. I also tried with a fresh install of DNN 7.4 and this beta version of YAF, nothing else installed. 1) It uploads if I browse and choose the file. But there is no uploading bar or something like that. You have no idea if it is being uploaded or something went wrong. Also window doesn’t close itself after successful upload. Just sits on the screen. You have to close that window and refresh that page to see it is uploaded successfully. 2) If you drag and drop a file to the box on the modal window, it opens the image itself on the browser instead of uploading. So you lose the page. 3) I use CKEditor which is also provided by you as a DNN module. (Thanks for another good work.) So in Yaf I choose “DNN default editor”, which gives more features than the one that comes with YAF. But when using it, if you click one of the attachments, that are uploaded already, nothing happens. But if you choose the one that comes with YAF, it adds [attach] code to the editor. But it doesn’t work with the CKEditor module in DNN. 4) If filename has no space in it, which is likely to happen, it is not broken in part by default and deforms the design of the page. For example, a file with the name “bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla.jpg” instead of being wrapped or hiding with “…” goes all the way down and deforms the design. It may be hided with “…” like “bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-bla-b….jpg”, which will also show extension, and show the full name when you hover the link. 5) In the attachment page in my profile, there is no confirmation alert when you want to delete an attachment. It would be better I think. 6) REQUEST : It would be very good if we could add images directly inside of the message when we choose from attachment list instead of the BBcode. 7) REQUEST : Also, is listing the attachments under post option removed? I would like to have that too… 8) REQUEST : Clicking pictures in the message opens them in the browser. It would be very good if they show up in a modal window, like old attachments were working. Thanks…

Hey tha_watcha, Any words about these?

[/quote] Are you getting any Java Script errors? I guess this issue is related to the unresolved jquery-ui issues with dnn, otherwise there are progressbars and the dialog should close itself when all uploads are finished [quote=Hakey;65450] 2) If you drag and drop a file to the box on the modal window, it opens the image itself on the browser instead of uploading. So you lose the page. [/quote] You have to drag it to the box that says "Drop file(s) here", in 2.2.1 beta 2 i changed that so you can drop the files everywhere inside the upload dialog [quote=Hakey;65450] 3) I use CKEditor which is also provided by you as a DNN module. But it doesn’t work with the CKEditor module in DNN. [/quote] This will be fixed in 2.2.1 beta 2. By the way be aware that the provider version of the CKEditor will give you more features which will not work unless you allow them via the host settings. Also keep in mind that this version is not optimized for YAF. [quote=Hakey;65450] 4) If filename has no space in it, which is likely to happen, it is not broken in part by default and deforms the design of the page. [/quote] Working on it [quote=Hakey;65450] 7) REQUEST : Also, is listing the attachments under post option removed? I would like to have that too… [/quote] Yes there are removed, no need for that since there are inside the post. [quote=Hakey;65450] 8) REQUEST : Clicking pictures in the message opens them in the browser. It would be very good if they show up in a modal window, like old attachments were working. [/quote] That should be still the case

[quote=tha_watcha;65526]Are you getting any Java Script errors? I guess this issue is related to the unresolved jquery-ui issues with dnn, otherwise there are progressbars and the dialog should close itself when all uploads are finished[/quote] None that I'm aware. Could be a jquery problem as you stated. There are also misplaced modal windows in the pages yaf stays. So probably they will be fixed with it too. I think that fix will come with 7.4.1 and hopefully soon. [quote=tha_watcha;65526]You have to drag it to the box that says "Drop file(s) here", in 2.2.1 beta 2 i changed that so you can drop the files everywhere inside the upload dialog[/quote] Yep I exactly do so. But still does the same behaviour. Maybe it also is a problem related to that DNN jquery bug. [quote=tha_watcha;65526]This will be fixed in 2.2.1 beta 2. By the way be aware that the provider version of the CKEditor will give you more features which will not work unless you allow them via the host settings. Also keep in mind that this version is not optimized for YAF.[/quote] Yes I am aware of that. It took some time to set it up correctly. It would be better if you could chose it as default editor in YAF. No need other 3 rich text editor. That CKEditor does everything alone and highly customisable. You can make it simple or complex. You can even manage the feautres, users may use, according to their roles. And you can directly add images inside the post, resize edit, full control. (You know all of these though. :)) So won't need to change attachment feature like this. I was using it with previous attachment option and it was good. If I want to add images inside post I use CKEditor. If I want to add images under the post I use attachment option. I am aware that you changed it because the editors that come with YAF don't have that feature. But can't you add that CKEditor inside YAF and keep old attachment system as a second option to the one now? Best of both ;) [quote=tha_watcha;65526]That should be still the case[/quote] For now it opens in browser not modal windows. If it is working like that already, it may be an issue of jquery bug again. I also want to add how I modified reputation bar, for being a reference to other users or searchers who are looking for it. I edited YetAnotherForumDotNet\Content\forum.min.css And changed the following classes like this. I gave them images instead of background colors. Though they are not shown in Firefox but it was like that before too. [rolleyes] [code].yafnet .ReputationBar{margin-top:5px;width:98%;background-image:url("/DesktopModules/YetAnotherForumDotNet/images/reputation/reputation_bg.png");width: 127px;height: 26px;} .yafnet .ReputationBarValue{background-image:url("/DesktopModules/YetAnotherForumDotNet/images/reputation/reputation_dot.png");width: 12px;height: 14px;}[/code] Thanks...
