I searched through the forums and found that Split Posts from a thread was 'high on the list of things to add', in a post two years ago.
I've looked for it, but seem to be failing to find it miserably, lol.
Does YAF have these two features?

Splitting Posts from a thread.

Merging two threads into one thread.
Splitting Posts from a thread helps a lot because as surely you all know, many members will take a topic adrift and sometimes the second topic in the thread is worthy of a discussion itself.
Merging Threads is helpful for when members accidentally create a thread that's ambiguous with another.
Thank you and awesome friggin software too.
I can't wait to completely convert my old PHP site over to DotNetNuke (hopefully I can find a C# source code rep) with these awesome forums.

We have recently started using YAF and it is great but we are really missing a Merge Topic function.
With the previous forum, if one or more Users started a new topic that duplicated another, we could simply merge each new topic into the established topic so that all posts on a particular topic are listed together.
I see this facility was requested in YAF quite some time ago.
Does anyone know if/when there will be a Merge Topic function in YAF?
Cheers, Bill

Be aware that yaf already has a merge topic function, you can move messages to other topics via the Move Button inside the Message.

I looked at the Move function, but it simply moves a topic from one forum to another.
I guess that is why the button says "Move Topic".
What we need is to merge two topics into one topic, in our case in the same forum.
I will look out for a button named "Merge topic".........
Same question as before, does anyone know when a Merge topic function will be available in YAF? (I gather it's been on the list of things to do for a couple of years.).

Being able to split multiple posts while seeing all posts in a thread would be nice. The biggest of waste of time as an admin. If I could find some free time I'd code it myself, lol.

Merging two topics is another nice addition. We can already split a topic, but unfortunately it has to be post by post unless each were replied to the previous. Sometimes that bites me in the tail too. I kinda wish that was removed.
