We've been running on GoDaddy for two years, but are tired of the intermittent problems that turn out to be on NoDaddy's side, but they deny it. I'm switching to Arvixe over the next few days, and have a question. YAF is currently installed in a subfolder of thecarversite.com (/yetanotherforum) If I install to root, can the site's main page (default.htm, which is NOT part of the forum) coexist in the same folder with YAF's default.aspx? |

Also, it looks like I can get YAF to run from a subfolder on Arvixe like I could on GoDaddy; I may have to install in root; if so, is there a way to redirect prior google indexed pages? (e.g. mysite.com/YAF/default.aspxg=posts&m=53606#post53606 redirect to mysite.com/defaulty.aspxg=posts&m=53606#post53606 for ALL forum topics? |
