ive checked out YAF forums with my WM phone, and they are not mobile friendly.

is there a way to make a mobile version of the site so people can see it on thier cell phones or pda?

The latest version will have more options with mobile rendering. Basically, you will be able to specify a mobile theme in v1.9.4. Now, I haven't gone through all the code and made a mobile theme yet... but it will be much easier to make that an option.

Not yet, no. Herman_Herman said he might work on that feature... I don't have the time in the foreseeable future.

I think it will take more than a mobile theme; I tried creating one (for example, I put display: none on the userbox and signatures in theme.css) and when in desktop mode (on opera) the mobile phone DOES clip the userbox and sigs, but the screen is in desktop mode (zoomed way out, on e click brings you in to read or interact with the pages).

If I switch the mobile phone browser (opera) to mobile screen mode, the userbox and sig are still there......

I want to be able to use mobile screen (keeps you from having to scroll horizontally) AND block userbox and sig lines (take up too much real estate.

I started to try building a separate site for mobile users (default_mobile.aspx) but can't see a method to set wich forum.ascx page to load, for example (I'm building up a forum_mobile.ascx) but unless this is possible I'll probably quit.

Enjoy!

e.g. if I create a theme (called mobile) that has display: none for userbox and sig, the signature lines and userbox don't display, but the used my userbox is still there (albeit empty). It would be nice to NOT have the there at all (since it's now just taking up screen space) and have the post's switch to colspan="2")

I don't think that sort of thing can be done simply by theme.......

Enjoy!
