I'm referring more to something next to the thread title that is visually different, and always viewable for topics already once viewed even when you're in the normal forums besides "active topics". It could be a disabled or enabled function for the user, but that could be more hassle than it's worth for just a custom edit for a nice feature.

Sort of like if you're in General Discussion, it might look like:

This is a thread you have already viewed Unread (3)

This is a thread you have not read at all

This is a thread you have already viewed Unread (12)

With the "Unread (#)" portion containing a "?find=unread" extension like Active Topics links have. It would be a magnificent feature to have in the stock software and since "?find=unread" is already coded, how would one edit the current software to include it for every forum?

Ours was set up as an arrow link

IE: if your forum had three topics

Topics...............Topic starter..........Last post

Sticky:Hello...............Lisa...............Lisa:arrow:

Welcome:arrow: (1)(2)...(5)..........Lisa...............Lisa:arrow:

Errors .......................Admin...............Lisa :arrow:

Topics linked to the first post in the topic

The arrow after Welcome indicates there is a new post in the second topic, and if I click on the arrow, it takes me to the FIRST UNREAD post in that topic. This topic has 5 pages, and the first unread post may be on page 3.

Under last post column, the arrow links to the very last post in the topic (and who posted last)

It looks as though it still might be part of the forum functions there, BUT I think you need to register, confirm your registration and then cruise the forums, etc. before it starts tracking what forums you've been in, and if anyone has posted in them since you last looked.

In other words, if you click the link to have a peak, the arrow won't show up because the cookies aren't tracking your member activities yet.

If that makes sense.
