Hi All,

Thanks for the great forum. I'm trying to integrate it with my existing web site (asp.net 2.0, membership, custom mem provider).

I'm looking at the latest version, 1.9.3RC2, and don't know what to do with it. because this is a web project,

and mine is a web site. so before going down the code, just some general questions:

1. should I add my web site as a folder in yaf project? or vice verse?

2. will the forum have it's own root subdomain, like forum.mysite.com, or will it be a page(s) in my site,

like www.mysite.com/forum... ?

3. database. I already have mine, of course, with all the membership tables like asp_Users, etc. should I point to this db when running the installation page, and the other tables will be created? What is the procedure in case I already have a db, with tons of data in it?

Thanks,

Ron

My best advice is to go to Bugs and Problems and then the 1.9.3 sub. Start reading each post and you will be able to decide which way is best for you. When I integrated it did take a while as the learning curve was high for me. I'm still in development running 2 databases, mine and YAF. Using MasterPages with my own membership provider. I've forgotten most of what I did. I do know the application name I had to change to "/" vs what I had. I was getting duplicate entries in my _users tables due to this. As I understand, / is common practice in .net. I incorporated YAF into my site although I use the YAF login screen instead of mine right now.

Lots of good people here but remember, it is voluntary so you may need patience.

Good product.
