Hi,

Is it possible to run YAF as a .NET control? Embedded on a page and using existing membership providers, that is? I hope you understand what I mean!

Thanks a ton!

Yes, YAF is a single control.

And you can put it anywhere you like.

When I post fp:mddubs in a topic, I'm leaving my footprint there so I can track it once I get into coding/supporting. (Yes I stole this off Mek 🙂, who stole this off Ederon 🙂 )

Okay, yes. Is it possible to use an existing membership provider without haveing to rewrite much of the code? I already have an extensive user management system on my iste, so don't really need another layer there...

Thanks for your answers!

The new 1.9.3 version should support membership/role/profile providers.

Any guess when YAF 1.9.3 will be out and ready to install on DotNetNuke as a module?

Hi all,

Just wondering,

I used YaF as a Control on a Aspx Page and it loads fine

but when i click on a forum to view it's topics my whole aspx page refreshes and i loose my original Aspx page where the YaF Forum control was in.

I placed the YaF Forum control inside an update panel.

Is there a way to just refresh the control so i can stay on my own aspx page ?

Thanks
