When the forum sends emails, it seems like they are encoded in UTF8, and the charset in the meta tag is also utf8,

But the header of the mail is UNICODE, so Outlook for example shows Chinese characters, but Right-Click -> View Source shows correct code...

Also when using Domain Masking in app.config, the urls in the emails are encoded like "http://http://..."
