is it possible to add this..

in your profile you add a list of your buddy's.. users of the forum you identify as your buddies, and you see who added you to thier buddy list.

these get listed in the database of course, and you see the list on the right hand side of your profile next to your avatar??

what you would see would be thier name, their avatar, and thier rank maybe,and thier listing is actually a link to thier profile?

This is a pretty cool feature to be added. I am also keen on this idea... YAFDEVS please consider this feature... 🙂

Other than jumping on the social networking bandwagon, I'd like to see some ideas on how the informaiton will be used. Rather than the old "look I've got lots of friends...". Otherwise at the end of the day, its just a list.

well, if you actively PM certain users alot, its nice to have them in a buddy list for yourself right in your own profile...

Yep, It's also nice if you can email your buddy list on certain topics that one user has created. This way, they can maintain the communication thus enticing users to frequently visit the forums. 🙂

I'm a bit fuzzy as to the functionality of 'buddy' list.

Is it simply a list of your buddy's with online status and link to their profile (as it appears to be) or is there a way to PM your buddy list and/or open private chat with your buddy list, etc.?
