I want to have a rating system such that each user can rate the posts (1 star to 5 star). So everyone can see the rating of each post. Has anyone done this previously?

Thanks

I haven't seen this before (for yaf of course) but I would like it too. Would be great if someone could implement it!

Maybe someone from the dev team? I'm not so familar with databases, I'm happy that I coud implement my preview images for attached images without touching the database

Do you have posted a feature request in the sourceforge tracker yet?

- Sry for my english ;)

Daily Tech  has a sort of rating system for the comments to their articles. I'm not sure how it works, but reading their FAQ  makes it sounds like users get moderator "points" based on the number of comments for which they can use to "mod" a comment up or down. Comments with a bad rating defaults to being collapsed.

I would like something similar for YAF.

"It's a case of RTFM.. the only problem being we don't have a manual!"

When I post FP:Mek in a topic, I'm leaving my footprint there so I can track it once I get into coding/supporting. (Yes I stole this off Ederon 🙂 )

This rating idea would be a very nice thing for the forum. I hope it will be possible.

So if i understand what you guys are asking for is a feature like Digg.Com, if that is right what for? To be able to collapse bad comments, that does'nt make any sense to me. This is a Forum not a Blog, but maybe im just not getting what people would need this feature for.

YAGNI :!: (or maybe rather U Ain't Gonna USE It). Please explain why and how rating would be useful.

btw. This post would probably be rated: 1, or.. 5 or 2,23.

I don't even know why I posted this one. I'm out.
