I told google about my site and went through their verification process and everything jived, but I can't seem to find the posts I made. Perhaps they are too new, although I can't immediately see how google would know what was in the posts anyway. How does that work? Does it work? I've looked around this site quite a bit and only found posts about hiding posts from search engines, so I assume google will find them somehow. Any tips or explanations would be helpful.

Thanks,

Jerrod

I guess this was a dumb question? I'm not ashamed, as this is my first forum and one of my first websites altogether. I can handle the code, though, and I'm determined to expose my forum posts to google in some way. Perhaps it is already and it just takes some time, but I suspect this is not the case. Any point in the right direction would help as I am having trouble finding any information about it.

I have some really vague ideas of what needs to happen... I might need to create some kind of index when google comes looking or somehow provide some instruction to robots that visit. I'll keep looking and when I realize what it is I'm looking for, I'll be sure to post what I discovered. Of course, I'll keep checking back in the meantime for any pointers.

Thanks to the creators. It works great so far... www.id-scripts.com

Try taking a look at Google's webmaster tools. It can tell you when your site was last crawled and how it was indexed.
