Hi,

Perhaps I'm not understanding the feature, but when I test the Report Abusive and Report SPAM links, I get the "Are you sre?" dialog, click Yes; get the "Thank you" dialog, click OK; but that's it. No PM's; no emails; no nothin'.

So what is supposed to happen? I would have thought that the forum email address defined in Host Settings/Forum Email would receive the report, or the admin user would receive a PM.

Am I wrong? Is this a know bug?

Thanks,

Tony

This is an old topic, but I was wondering the same thing.

Tony, did you figure this out on your own? Anybody else have a clue about what these actually do?

Login as an administrator and go to the link "Moderate" on the top of your forum. There you can see the reported posts.

The plan is to introduce a PM style feature but that section is not implemented yet. So its basically just the notification thats currently missing from the feature set.

When I post FP:Mek in a topic, I'm leaving my footprint there so I can track it once I get into coding/supporting. (Yes I stole this off Ederon 🙂 )

I hope this is still on track to be added, as it is rather annoying to have to continuously check the "Moderate" screen just for this.

Also, what is the difference between:

"Allow "Report Abuse" post: If checked, report feature is enabled."

and

"Allow "Report Spam" post: If checked, report feature is enabled."

OK, I figured out how to display the "Moderate" link. I had a linked role of "extranet\Administrator, but also needed to add the native Administrator role to my profile to make the Moderate button appear.

Next, is there any indicator that tells you there are posts waiting to be moderated, or do you have to go into the moderate section to check? I would love an email to come to my box for abusive post reports. I need to act upon such reports ASAP.

Thanks,

tom
