sorry keep getting 426 or is it 429, and so this is the 4th time writing

looked everywhere in the forum admin and on this support forum but can't see where to move a topic if it's been put in the wrong forum

any hints please?

If you getting a 429 error it means you use the forum to much. Just wait a few minutes. I can’t afford a better server, and search bots are causing very high traffic.

thanks! first off (and i seem to remember seeing something about this somewhere else) the picture doesn't seem to resize nor can you scroll. had to download it to view.

Check the access masks. They need to be applied to each role for each forum individually.

i've got 32 forums though, if that could be listed as a todo somewhere for a blanket update, maybe as a check box when doing one of them "apply to all"?

Don't worry i full well know how things go into an ever expanding to do list and when is the question.

Yes sorry you need to do this for each forum. Normally you do this when creating a forum.
