Hi, I've been using a custom made forum for clients for the last couple of years, but as time progresses more and more features are moving out of my area of expertise and things are getting a bit too time-consuming. And so, the natural way to go is "out-sourcing" or rather using these premade applications. But I'm having a hard time deciding on one over the other, so I thought why not ask some of the questions that ultimately decides which app I will be using.

Is it possible to setup YAF to use a custom user database, including groups and permissions ?

And how time-consuming would such an operation be ?

Fx, are the permissions easily available some where, making it easy to migrate one or other from system to system, and so on.
