I have created a test app outside of YAF with ckedit and ckfinder and they work fine so I'm pretty sure the issue is somewhere in YAF. From doing some googling I have discovered that this error sometimes occurs with urlrewriter code, but I don't know enough about YAF to track this down further. This is a mission critical site and I would greatly appreciate help.

I know you can attach files to the bottom of a post, but in our case it is critical that people be able to embed images withing the post itself.

I guess there is something wrong with the setup. I posted a guide on how to add ckfinder to the ckeditor in yaf.
