I have GUEST set such that guest users are prevented from doing anything but Active Discussions & login/register. Guests can see the discussions but are unable to access unless logged in to gain entry to the forums.

That's been working fine. However, from time to time, when I check Who Is Online, I find 'guest' user reading forum topics, somehow bypassing registration. How can this be stopped? What am I overlooking?

He's not bypassing registration. Guest are registered in a table when thet attempt to access a place by a link. This is because we should register any attempts. You can simply attempt to access the place by the same link as guest and you'll see that you are being redirected to "forbidden" page or to login page. "Guest" is the same user for YAF with the security check viewpoint.

Ahah! So I am seeing ATTEMPTS on Who is Online! All makes total sense!

Is there a log I can access to review?

Thanks much!
