I've been trying to create my own BBCodes for my forum (v1.9.6.1) but I'm sort of struggling to understand how to do so, because all the topic searches I have done only shows how to do it on old versions and theres no tutorial on the documentation. Can somebody please enlighten me how to make my own BBCodes in the Admin CP?

I think the easiest way of understanding how it works is to take a look at the existing BBCodes. And see what they do and how its done.
