Hello,

http://wiki.yetanotherforum.net/embeddedYaf.ashx

However, that was not very helpful... to elaborate:

1. The first thing it mentions is about IIS Manager.... I am using WebMatrix.

2. Ignoring the above fact, I looked around for a yafnet.config as it mentioned... no sign of one anywhere

3. I ignored step 2 and went to the web.config file as it said. The guide said to look for the following:

I could not find that in the web.config I had...

After that I gave up. I see the last modified date on the article was 2010/02/07. So, I guess it is a little outdated. Can anyone please tell me how to embed this into my current site? I am completely new to YAF (and forum development in general).

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Unfortunately the Complete WIKI is outdated.

Take a look at this Thread

In the Last Post i Attached a Little Sample Application with Yaf integrated as a Control

Also here is the newer Guide:

You mention Webmatrix, does this mean that you are doing .cshtml pages like me ("Razor" syntax) ?

I am also struggling with the MVC3 framework & Razor on how to make the a webforms app like YAF work within this...

@tha_watcha. thank you for your response and apologies for my late reply... busy, busy...

I tried following the instructions on that post. However, I am using MVC3 with the razor view engine. How would I go about adding a "YAF Control" to that?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I am going to have to go with Nearforums or MvcForum...neither of which are as good as YAF. Get moving guys... you really need to make moving to MVC3 high on your priorities...everyone is moving over...at least, everyone I know anyways...
