Hello,

our forum (version 1.9.4) suddenly started to give error messages when sending PM's. Only administrators are able to send PM's, but any other user gets an error message like this:

Your Private Message box is full. Maximum allowed is 2147483647. Please delete messages to free up space.

Number of allowed messages depends on user sending the PM, moderators have that amount and normal users have less. For example user who gets that error message does not have any PM's in his inbox. If I give that user administrative rights, he can send PM's succesfully.

Best Regards,

Jyrki Heinonen

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I too get that same error.

Messages in both the Inbox and Outbox count against the quota. Your users most likely need to check the outbox.

Additionally, PM limits are enforced by roles and ranks - they might need to be checked, but I would check user outbox'es first --

It could also be that your users are members of two groups, and adding the quota of both of them makes it go over the limit.

It seems that what has happened is that you have to actually click on the link in the verification email. What I did for that particular user that couldn't send PMs was manually accept him under the Admin->Unverified Users. It put him as a registered user, but acted like he was still somewhat of a guest. Maybe a bug or maybe just the way it is.

What would be the purpose of manually approving through the admin console?
