I have been using my iPad 2 for some month now as the primary forum reader for checking, posting, moderation and such - while comfortably sitting outdoors after work when the weather is nice..

Works perfectly, almost - Only "flaw" that file attachments doesn't work for these iThingies...

Any thoughts about supporting also these devices in the future regarding this? They are quite common nowadays...

I could of course bring a laptop outdoors, but since an iThingy is much easier to use "on the run", it would be great to post eg pics easily too to the forum while you are traveling and such...

Just a thought... 😄

As far as i know it is not possible to upload a file directly via Safari on the Ipad. The only way that could work would been an email upload, and only for images.

Indeed, the object orientated app structure with the iThingies where the objects own their space is not always a good thing...

No "file system" interface in eg Safari...

Tested the iCab browser application for iThinges, which can exchange files with a "normal" computer via the iTunes application...

Files added to the iCab app can be uploaded to the forum, since the "Select File" button isn't greyed out anymore. But that only goes for the files added to the iCab object via iTunes... So that's not a viable option, but shows that files can be uploaded.

What Apple need to do is to have a filesystem extension (there are already apps for seeing the iOS file system) included in Safari... Would be nice if they did it at least for the "Camera Roll"...

This pair is to upload the other to find other tools to upload, so very convenient, it should develop a universal and not in exchange for going.
