When users upload an animated GIF as their avatar, it stores it as a jpeg in the database. When it is rendered to the client, the animation is gone. It also shows image reflection (not sure if this is JavaScript or CSS). Is there a way to get the same functionality on my site as is on forum.yetanotherforum.net?

Turns out this was a problem with a stylesheet in a custom theme. My bad. 🙂

No it was actually a Problem when an Uploaded Avatar is bigger then the allowed Image Dimensions, it gets resized as Jpeg, (Without Animation, Transparency). It needs A lot of Code to Resize an Gif with Animation. I currently only fixed the Transparency on resized Avatar Images.

is there any news on 1.9.5 RTW for gif?
