I am still struggling with quirks related to one of the background images in YAFVision. I thought I had the image tall enough, but found out wrong after digging deeper and deeper into the forums we run. I have CSS cross-browser solution that does gradients and eliminates the need for the image. I am curious before I work it out in theme file if YAF team is acceptable of CSS Gradient instead of background image for header rows.

I'll set it up for our site, and submit copy here - but would like to know opinion of YAF team on this --

Note that the cross-browser version works IE 7+, FF 3+, Chrome, Safari, and Opera - but I cannot test IE6 (which there are still users out there that use it, unfortunately). CSS Gradient will fallback gracefully to a stock background color, but won't fall back to the image using CSS Gradient method though (for IE6.x).

i think we should still kept the image as fall back (at least for old themes for everything new i already use image less effects, for example for the new notification bar) something like...

.yafnet .header1 {
	background: url("bg_header2.png") repeat-x bottom #5880c0;
	background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #85b8f5 0%, #5278b7 6%, #5880c0 31%, #6899d9 83%, #6899d9 100%);
	background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(0%,#85b8f5), color-stop(6%,#5278b7), color-stop(31%,#5880c0), color-stop(83%,#6899d9), color-stop(100%,#6899d9));
	background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #85b8f5 0%,#5278b7 6%,#5880c0 31%,#6899d9 83%,#6899d9 100%);
	background: -o-linear-gradient(top, #85b8f5 0%,#5278b7 6%,#5880c0 31%,#6899d9 83%,#6899d9 100%);
	background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #85b8f5 0%,#5278b7 6%,#5880c0 31%,#6899d9 83%,#6899d9 100%);
	background: linear-gradient(to bottom, #85b8f5 0%,#5278b7 6%,#5880c0 31%,#6899d9 83%,#6899d9 100%);
	filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=#5880c0, endColorstr=#6899d9);
	color: white;
	font-weight: bold;
	line-height: 24px;
	font-size:12px;
	text-align: left;
}

That sounds like a plan. I'll get the CSS straightened out on that one and submit it up for review -- I think I've got all the other quirks, but I'm digging into my event logs as well to make sure there's no missing images. Our members really like the YAFVision theme - it's very uniform and has much resemblance to the old Snitz forums we ran -- but my OCD (mental issues) forces me to make sure it's "perfect" no matter what I do (YAF or other) - so this will work out for all because I know before it's all over with I'll probably catch all the quirks and get them ironed out :)
